  • How do I handle UnionPay cards?

  • UnionPay: Customers are required to enter their PIN (6 digits) and sign their name, regardless of whether the card has an IC chip. Some UnionPay cards require a 12-digit or 9-digit PIN while others only have an IC chip, but these cards are not supported by our Payment Services for In-Stores.

  • No, they can only be used in Japan.

  • Unfortunately, individuals cannot apply. *Sole proprietors may apply.

  • As a sole proprietor, can I apply for your Payment Services for In-Stores?

  • Yes. Sole proprietors may apply. A vetting process is required to use this service. Depending on the details of your application, you may not be able to use our Payment services for in-stores. We appreciate your understanding in advance.

  • Are there any documents required when applying to use your Payment Services for In-Stores?
  • A.
  • Required documents vary depending on the application category. Please check the following before applying.

    ● For corporations
    One of the following documents is required
    Register copy (extract) book
    Present (history) matter certificate
    * Documents within 3 months from the date of issuance
    * If permission or registration is required for business, a copy of the permit etc.

    ● For sole proprietors
    One of the following documents is required
    Driver's license
    Japanese passport (passport)
    Basic Resident Register Card
    Seal registration certificate
    Residence card
    Special Permanent Resident Certificate
    * Name, address, and date of birth
    * Within the expiration date or within 6 months from the date of issuance
    * If you need a business permit, a copy of it
    * Documents with My Number cannot be received.

  • The terminal will be shipped after our merchant vetting process has been completed and we have confirmed payment of the terminal costs and other fees communicated to you.

  • I would like to use payment methods other than single payments. Are any procedures necessary?
  • A.
  • Please apply for your preferred payment method. However, depending on the products and services we handle, we may not be able to provide some payment methods. Thank you for your understanding in advance. Also, if you use a payment method other than "one-time payment", you will need to issue a receipt by printing, so if you use LP-PCR3.0 BT, you must purchase a receipt printer.

  • Why do I have to apply for a receipt printer when using payment methods other than single payments?

  • It is because when using payment methods other than single payments, you will need to give the customer (purchaser) a paper receipt in accordance with the Installment Sales Act.

  • Payment methods other than single payments can be added later. A processing fee of 1,000 yen (excluding tax) is required when adding payment methods.

  • Can LP-PCR3.0 BT and VEGA3000 only handle credit cards with IC chips?

  • They are able to read credit cards with IC chips and cards with magnetic stripes. However, the card reading method will differ depending on the brand. Visa / Mastercard: Please insert cards that have IC chips, and swipe cards that only have magnetic strips. UnionPay: Please swipe both cards with IC chips and cards that only have magnetic strips.

  • The fees depend on the type of business using the service. Please check below.
    All fees below are exclusive of tax. Some items are also tax exempt.
    *For QR code payments, the fees vary depending on the settlement institutions applied for.

  • The sales deposit cycle is bi-monthly. 1) Closing on the 15th -> Payment on the last day of the month *Payment will be made on the previous business day if the payment date falls on a bank holiday 2) Closing on the last day of the month -> Payment on the 15th of the following month *Payment will be made on the following business day if the payment date falls on a bank holiday

  • Can the sales deposit cycle be changed?

  • LP-PCR3.0 BT can be selected from twice a month, three times a month, four times a month, and six times a month by using the "early / multiple deposit option".
    Pre-screening and fees are required to use the "early / multiple times option". VEGA3000 and code payment service will be optional services that will be supported in the future. Currently not available.
