- Can your Payment services for in-stores be used without a smartphone?

- It depends on the payment service you use.
A smartphone or tablet is required to use the mobile LP-PCR3.0 BT and the code payment app S!can.
- You can check the compatible models for LP-PCR3.0 BT here.
- The code payment app S!can is compatible with iOS 8.0 or later and Android 4.4 or later.

- Do your services offer split (2x) bonus payments?
- A.
- Visa / Mastercard: Split bonus payments are not available. Only single payment bonus payments are available. UnionPay / Electronic money / QR code payments: Bonus payments are not available.

- Do your services offer installment payments?
- A.
- Visa / Mastercard: Installment payments are also available. However, in some cases installment payments may not be made available to you depending on the details of your application. We appreciate your understanding in advance. UnionPay / Electronic money / QR code payments: Installments are not available. UnionPay cards are accepted for single payments only.

- UnionPay is the most popular payment brand in China provided by UnionPay International. As of 2015, a total of 5.5 billion UnionPay cards have been issued with a transaction value of 1.2 trillion yen, making it the brand with the largest transaction value market share in the world.

- How do I handle UnionPay cards?
- A.
- UnionPay: Customers are required to enter their PIN (6 digits) and sign their name, regardless of whether the card has an IC chip. Some UnionPay cards require a 12-digit or 9-digit PIN while others only have an IC chip, but these cards are not supported by our Payment Services for In-Stores.

- Is it possible to apply to use multiple payment services?

- Yes. You can apply for multiple payment services under the same business name.

- Are your Payment Services for In-Stores available outside of Japan?

- No, they can only be used in Japan.

- As an individual, can I apply for your Payment Services for In-Stores?
- A.
- We regret to inform you that applications cannot be made by individuals.
- Sole proprietors are eligible to apply.

- As a sole proprietor, can I apply for your Payment Services for In-Stores?
- A.
- Yes. Sole proprietors may apply. A vetting process is required to use this service. Depending on the details of your application, you may not be able to use our Payment services for in-stores. We appreciate your understanding in advance.

- Are there any documents required when applying to use your Payment Services for In-Stores?
- A.
- The documents required vary depending on the application category. Please check the following before applying.
For corporations
One of the following documents is required
- Register copy (extract) book
- Present (history) matter certificate
- Documents issued within the last 3 months
- If a license or registration is required for business, a copy of the license or registration
For sole proprietors
One of the following documents is required:
- Driver's license
- Japanese passport (passport)
- Basic Resident Register Card
- Seal registration certificate
- Residence card
- Special Permanent Resident Certificate
- Must contain your name, address, and date of birth
- Must be valid or within 6 months of issue date
- A copy of your business license, if required
- We cannot accept documents that include your My Number.

- Do I need to purchase the payment terminal?
- A.
- Payment terminals are only provided as a loan.

- Is it possible to apply to add payment services at a later time?
- A.
- Additional payment services can be added later.

- I applied for your Payment Services for In-Stores. When will the terminal arrive?
- A.
- We will ship the product once our vetting has been completed and we have confirmed payment of the device costs and other charges that we have notified you about.

- I would like to use payment methods other than single payments. Are any procedures necessary?
- A.
- Please apply for your preferred payment method. However, depending on the products and services we handle, we may not be able to provide some payment methods. Thank you for your understanding in advance. Also, if you use a payment method other than "one-time payment", you will need to issue a receipt by printing, so if you use LP-PCR3.0 BT, you must purchase a receipt printer.

- Why do I have to apply for a receipt printer when using payment methods other than single payments?

- It is because when using payment methods other than single payments, you will need to give the customer (purchaser) a paper receipt in accordance with the Installment Sales Act.

- With regard to accepting JCB brands (JCB, American Express, Diners Club, DISCOVER), we will contact JCB on your behalf. Please apply at the time of contract. JCB will contact you after we have relayed your application, so please complete the necessary procedures.

- Yes. An application is required to use UnionPay cards.

- Can the LP-PCR3.0 BT only handle credit cards with IC chips?
- A.
- Credit cards with IC chips and magnetic stripes can be read. However, the reading method differs depending on the card brand.
- Visa/Mastercard: For cards with an IC chip, use "IC chip read"; for cards with only a magnetic stripe, use "swipe to read."
- UnionPay: Swipe to read whether your card has an IC chip or only a magnetic stripe.
Sales

- What is the sales deposit cycle like?
- A.
- The sales payment cycle is twice a month.
- ① Closing date is the 15th → payment on the last day of the month *If the payment date is a bank holiday, payment will be made on the previous business day
- ② Closing date: End of month → Payment on the 15th of the following day *If the payment date is a bank holiday, payment will be made on the next business day

- Can the sales deposit cycle be changed?

With LP-PCR3.0 BT, you can choose from two, three, four or six deposits per month by using the "Early/Multiple Deposit Option."
To use the "Early/Multiple Option", a pre-approval and fee will be required. The code payment service is an optional service that will be available in the future. It is not currently available.
