(Head office: Sumida-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kenichi Tokumaru; hereinafter referred to as "SNSH") have begun a collaboration to Credit Card Payment for rent for rental properties.
In the future, Century 21 franchisees (hereinafter referred to as "franchisees") will begin accepting rent payments by credit card. Please contact each franchisee directly to find out the current status.

Benefits for tenants from this collaboration

• You can pay your rent with your credit card.
  You can register the credit card you use for everyday shopping and paying utility bills.
  In addition to JCB brand credit cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club brand credit cards can be used.
• Earn points by Credit Card Payment.
  • There are some credit cards that are not eligible for points.
• Even if it is difficult to find a guarantor, you can still apply for a loan.
  If you are a foreign national or have other difficulties finding a guarantor, you can still apply for a loan by specifying SNSH as your guarantor and choosing to Credit Card Payment.
  • As a result of the review, your application may be postponed.

How to Credit Card Payment

• Prospective tenants specify SNSH as the rent guarantor when applying for a lease agreement with a member store.
• After passing the screening, prospective tenants will be asked to register their credit card information using the link provided in the email.
• After you move in, the combined monthly rent guarantee fee and rent will be charged to your credit card.

Background of this collaboration

In recent years, the introduction of cashless payment methods such as credit cards has been progressing across a variety of industries and business types, but the payment method for "rent and management fees" is automatic bank transfer at 51%, followed by cash at 20% and credit card at 15% (other non-cash methods: 13%) ^※, meaning that the share of Credit Card Payment is still low.
One of the main issues preventing the widespread use of Credit Card Payment is the "unique contract structure of rental contracts," which requires the involvement of a rent guarantee company.
To solve this problem, we have established a collaborative system that includes SNSH, a rent guarantee company, and made it possible for the combined rent guarantee fee and rent to be paid by tenant's credit card. This means that we are now ready to introduce Credit Card Payment even in the "contract structure unique to rental contracts."
