SB Payment Service Corp. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO Jun Shimba; hereinafter "SBPS"), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp., expanded the recurring billing function of the "Member ID Payment Service" provided on its payment digital transformation platform for stores on February 3, 2025. This makes it possible to link customers' member IDs with credit card information, manage registration information, and process recurring Credit Card Payment such as monthly membership fees from the app and web management tool in the payment terminal, without the need to build or integrate a unique system.
Until now, this was possible by linking a business's own system with the SBPS payment system, but this latest expansion makes it even easier to process and manage recurring Credit Card Payment, such as monthly membership fees.
SBPS will continue to support merchants' businesses by contributing to improved operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through the expansion of the functions of its payment digital transformation platform for stores.
The "membership ID payment service" is a function in which SBPS links customers' membership IDs with credit card information and holds it for businesses that offer monthly membership services such as insurance, real estate, education/schools, food, and cosmetics. This reduces the operational burden on businesses by allowing them to easily register credit cards at the payment terminal. In addition, customers' membership IDs can be captured not only by manually entering them, but also by scanning barcodes/QR codes with the payment terminal's camera, preventing incorrect entry. It is ideal for businesses that have many face-to-face contact points with customers and that generate ongoing payments.
By incorporating the recurring billing management tool "nRegi-mini" provided by NFeed Corporation as the payment terminal app *, it is now possible to manage customers' credit card information and monthly membership fee information as well as process payments. There is no need for businesses to build their own systems or link with payment systems, and management of customer payment information and payment processing can be carried out more easily than ever before.
