Future Shop Co.,Ltd. (Head office: Kita-ku, Osaka; CEO: Yuko Hoshino; hereinafter "Future Shop"), which provides the SaaS-type EC site building platform "futureshop", will start linking the smartphone payment service "Merpay" of the flea market application "Mercari" provided by Mercari via Online Payment Service of SB Payment Service Corp. As a result, businesses using "futureshop" will be able to offer "Merpay" as one of the payment methods by installing SBPS's Online Payment Service and applying for the "Merpay" option.
Mercari, a flea market app that allows individuals to easily buy and sell items, is used by approximately 23 million people per month, and the total amount of distribution transactions exceeds 1 trillion yen per year (as of December 2024). Merpay is a payment service provided by Merpay, Inc. that uses the flea market app Mercari. Customers can use points purchased with the proceeds from selling unwanted items on Mercari, or the Merpay balance that is automatically charged from the proceeds, to pay for new products at Merpay affiliated stores such as e-commerce sites that have introduced Merpay. If you do not have any proceeds, you can charge your Merpay balance from a bank account, etc.
Merpay provides a single point of contact for application procedures and sales deposits. From application and setup procedures at the time of implementation, to tracking order numbers and sales amounts after implementation, and settlement processing such as depositing sales, everything can be done with a single online management tool, reducing the burden of back-end operations.
No additional development is required to implement Merpay. After completing the application process, you can start using it simply by setting it up on the admin screen.
If you install SBPS's Online Payment Service and apply for "Merpay" by June 30, 2025, and complete the usage procedure by July 31, 2025, you will be able to use the service at a special rate of 0 yen for monthly fixed fees and 3.5% payment fees. (The same conditions will be available for use with "futureshop" only, with no time limit.)
