SB Payment Service Corp. (SBPS) announced its five-year platform transformation and issuing system replacement efforts at the technology conference "VMware Explore 2024" held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA in August 2024.

"VMware Explore" is an event that will feature notable updates on a wide range of portfolios, from private cloud to software-defined edge and private AI, introductory sessions and detailed technical explanations, practical sessions by consultants, sessions on customer cases of companies using VMware by Broadcom technologies to transform their businesses, and hands-on labs.
This time, SBPS was on stage as one of the speakers from Japan.

Session Contents

SBPS used the VMware Tanzu Platform to replace the system for its SoftBank Card business in 2024.
By building the VMware Tanzu Platform in a private cloud environment and running Spring Boot applications on it, we were able to transform the system into one that is scalable and fault-tolerant.
This allows us to provide SoftBank Card users with a more reliable service.
